20:00 La Liga: RCD Espanyol - Valencia CF

20:00 La Liga: RCD Espanyol - Valencia CF

Espanyol have really picked up towards the end of this season and there is definitley a foundation there for a big season next year. Theyve lost just one of their last eight matches and secured a really important 1-0 win at Almeria last weekend. Theyve kept seven consecutive clean sheets at home which is an unbelievable record for any team, especially when you consider theyve played Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Sevilla and Villarreal. They are also unbeaten in ten at home and they really are able to match the top sides at their own place. Valencia are pretty comfortable in 3rd place having beaten Deportivo 1-0 last week and they are ending the season quite unspectacularly and Im not sure if they fancy this one. They are really solid at home but when they go on the road they just dont know how to defend and when you look at Espanyols record, solidity will be vital tonight. They havent won any of their last 12 away matches which is a poor record for a side expected to be in the Champions League next season. Espanyol have won two straight at home against Valencia and I can see them extending that record tonight.
